Case: Leak of PUSH traffic to antivirus GEO: Bulgaria (Profit: $395)

Mobile Push traffic
Today we are excited to share an example with our beloved marketers, who will surely find it useful and interesting. Media buyer Golden Goose, Dima Zitelnikov, tested offers to prove that TacoLoco push traffic is safe and reliable.

Affiliate program: Golden Goose GEO: Bulgaria Vertical: Mainstream Category: Download Traffic source: TacoLoco Ad format: Push notification Flow: Click2SMS Period: 8 days (May 17, 2023 - May 24, 2023) Revenue: $3369.04 Expenses: $2973.78 Profit: $395.26 ROI: 13.29% Conversion payout: $0.92 Antivirus products were advertised in mVAS.

The media buyer selected offers from the Golden Goose database, which included 10 landing pages, and used several pre-landers. As for the creatives, some of them were taken from AdPlexity, while others were created by Dima himself. At the campaign launch, there were 20 creatives, and a total of 66 creatives were used!

After running the ads for a day, Dima stopped the pre-landers and landing pages that didn't convert and uploaded another set of creatives. During the test, he eliminated creatives that didn't generate traffic and landing/pre-landers that were ineffective in terms of conversion.

Here's how the banners looked like:

Our traffic source was TacoLoco. For those who haven't heard of them, TacoLoco is a platform specializing in push traffic, so if you work with this format, it's definitely worth checking them out!

The Click2SMS flow was chosen because it allowed for Wi-Fi traffic, as it wasn't possible to segment and target the audience based on mobile operators.

Click2SMS is one of the conversion flows or paths through which users subscribe to a mobile content service. In this type of flow, the user clicks on a banner and lands in their default messaging app. They see a pre-filled message with content and a number, so they simply need to press "send." After that, they receive a confirmation message, and their subscription begins.

Here's how Click2SMS (also known as Premium SMS and MO) looks from a user's perspective: [Please note that as a text-based AI model, I am unable to visually display the user perspective.]
Dima Zitelnikov chose Bulgaria for several reasons. Firstly, the country is not an obvious choice among affiliate marketers. Beginner partners tend to work with more well-known GEOs such as the UAE, South Africa, and Tier 2 countries. On the other hand, experienced affiliates and media buyers experiment with non-traditional GEOs because they know they can easily hit the jackpot there.

Secondly, Dima came across news about the rollout of 5G in Bulgaria, which made him think about the rapid development of the mobile content niche in the country.

In this part of Europe, the Click2SMS flow prevails. Bulgaria has three major mobile operators: A1 with nearly 4 million subscribers, Yettel with 3.5 million subscribers, and Vivacom with 3 million subscribers.

And here are some statistics regarding the results:
Now you know that push advertising is alive and effective, despite format limitations from browsers. We hope that this case study will inspire you: if we can do it, so can you!
